It contains one record for each current owner of the public version of each Montana water right, so a right held by multiple owners produces multiple records. Owner names are carried in parsed form - last name or business name, first name, middle initial, and suffix - along with the customer type (individual, business, or government entity) and the internal ownership and customer identifiers, which makes the table usable for exact-match, partial-match, and grouped owner queries. Each record also repeats the full summary attribution of the parent water right, including basin and water right number, type and status, priority dates, purposes, sources, quantities, counties, remarks, and abstract, scan, authorization, and case links, so an owner search can return complete results without a further join.
