It contains one polygon for each mapped legal land subdivision in which a place of use on the public version of a Montana water right occurs. Each feature carries the purpose of use and purpose type code, the irrigation type where the purpose is irrigation, animal units where the purpose is stock, the acreage and place of use number, and the authorized period of use, together with the parent water right's identity, status, priority dates, owners, purposes, and quantities. Full legal land description attribution is included at township, range, section, and aliquot-part levels, along with a formatted label field. Polygon boundaries follow Public Land Survey System aliquot parts, so they describe the legal extent of authorized use rather than an observed irrigated field boundary.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV> |
