These site-specific closures and restrictions are in place to protect public safety, property, and/or the environment, and are in addition to restrictions provided in administrative rule (</span><a href="https://rules.mt.gov/gateway/ruleno.asp?RN=36%2E25%2E149" style="text-decoration:underline;" rel="nofollow ugc"><span>ARM 36.25.149</span></a><span>) and statute (</span><a href="https://leg.mt.gov/bills/mca/title_0770/chapter_0010/part_0080/section_0040/0770-0010-0080-0040.html" style="text-decoration:underline;" rel="nofollow ugc"><span>77-1-804 MCA</span></a><span>), and those categorical closures provided in </span><a href="https://rules.mt.gov/gateway/ruleno.asp?RN=36%2E25%2E150" style="text-decoration:underline;" rel="nofollow ugc"><span>ARM 36.25.150</span></a><span>. This data informs the user of the presence of certain recreational use limitations before traveling to the site.</span></p><p>This map depicts special long-term and site-specific closures and restrictions. It is for limited informational purposes only and does not address seasonal closures, categorical closures, management closures, wildfire closures, other restrictions that may apply, or wildlife management restrictions.
